Coats of Many Colours / The Ultimate Coat Collection
Need to go coat shopping? I rounded up some of my favourite winter coats for women back at the start of the season, but with new coats coming into stock every day, I figured it was time for an update. Here’s my ultimate winter coat collection!
Like many women at this time of year, winter coats are high on my agenda right now. In fact, I’d say coats are probably second only to shoes on the list of items I can’t seem to stop buying. Can you ever have too many winter coats? I don’t think so: not when you live in a climate like the UK’s anyway, in which you need a coat for a large percentage of the year.
Fortunately for me, there’s never been a better time to go coat shopping. The stores are always full of winter coats by the start of November, obviously, but this season is a particularly good one, with a really wide variety of colours and styles. Pastel coats are still hugely popular right now, and we’re seeing lots of pale pinks, baby blues and mint greens – all of which I love. I’m a huge fan of pale colours in the winter: no, they’re not quite as practical, but they can be much more fun – and who says you have to stick to black and grey just because the weather’s gotten colder?
If you’d rather reserve the pale colours for the warmer months of the year, however, there are still plenty of the traditional blacks and greys around. Forest green is also very popular this season, and makes a nice change from black, whilst being almost as versatile.
